Hi Shelagh,
I'm asking if this is a bug. I don't really know what error margins are
but what is happening here does not make sense to me and does not fit
with the research I've done on error markings for charts.
The error margins use a percentage of the maximum value of a data series
in both directions. This is the same behavior than in the old chart.
Actually, I've found out why I had such wild lines. If I have a chart
made with only the data series included, the error margins are OK and as
expected. But if by mistake the chart includes an extra row, we get a
picture like attachment 2.png, and if I move the chart at all I get the
effect as in 3.png. But everything seems fine when I only have the data
which is meant to be in the chart. As in 1.png.
The images are missing. Can you put them somewhere on the web? Or if you
are sure it is an issue, please submit an issue where you attach the
images for illustration.
None of the other error things did this thing with the lines. I know I
made a gaff with making the chart, but if the other error
markings can adjust for my stupidity, the error margin probably should too?
Sorry, without the images I have no idea what the "things" are.
And why did you write "wizard" in the subject? I suppose it is not
involved in this issue, apart from using it to create the initial chart.
Regards,
-Bjoern
