[~jiayu] Would it be reasonable to build some kind of unified configuration
system? The system would take care of knowing which engine it is running on and
query the correct configuration system for it. The individual functions could
query the unified config system for parameters like this.
In Spark this type of parameter could be handled in the Spark Properties. It
looks like Flink has something similar.
