I think it would be wise to draw up a plan on the wiki for this before
doing the changes. Mainly because I think it's *highly* important to
understand how this will affect the release process and therefore the
ServiceMix end users. Only then can we adequately convey the changes
to the ServiceMix user base - but this should all happen before the
changes take place. We need to tell them exactly what is going to
happen, why it's going to happen and how it will affect them before,
during and after all this work occurs.

It shouldn't be too difficult to do this and I'm glad to help.
