Dear SiYing Zheng, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request your mentorship for Google Summer of Code 2023. I am interested in contributing to Apache Shenyu and I believe that your guidance will be invaluable in helping me achieve my goals.
I have gone through the project ideas list and I am particularly interested in working on the Design license scanning function(Issue #130). I have some experience with Java, and I'm eager to learn more about all the other technologies. I'm confident that this will be my first contribution to an open-source project. I have cloned and run the Apache Shenyu project, and I have tested it with a sample project (HTTP-example). Currently, I'm working on drafting a proposal with the suggested template <https://community.apache.org/gsoc/>. I would be thankful if you could give me some guidance on how to begin contributing to Apache Shenyu. As the deadline nears, I'm also open to any advice you may have regarding writing a proposal and asking for feedback before submission. Thank you for considering my request.
