Are we allowed to submit our own proposals for logos?

Thanks a lot for your work, I like those logo a lot!

I'm also in favor of changing the logo to one of your proposal, if other 
participants on this mailing list agree. I also like the choice number 1, and 
also prefer the "Apache" word above the "SIS" word. An upper-case "I" is indeed 
more consistent with the fact that all three letters of "SIS" are part of an 
acronym. For the dot between the letters of the acronym, I have no strong 
preference. Both options look fine to me.
