I think a key comment is that we don't have any direct way to get to the
far-end machines except via the agent and AM, and if we can get the agent
running there, then things are probably good.
Which means: don't worry about getting information from those remote nodes.
Better to start with the local problems (configs, kerberos &c), and see if
there is any mismatch from what YARN is expecting.
Other than that, looks very useful
