As long as there is something like Pax Web (and possibly Pax Web Extender War), 
then direct WAR support by the HttpService is not really an issue.

To clarify my situation, we're running 1 VM with a standalone instance of 
Sling.  I have an ActiveMQ bundle that starts up the JMS server and am working 
on a bundle to provide the web console.  I've started another thread to detail 
the issues going on.

As for the original topic (sorry for the detour), I think having launchpad in 
Felix is a grand idea.
