For comparison, I created a draft PR for the embedded installation https://github.com/apache/sling-org-apache-sling-starter/pull/465 A very brief round of testing did not indicate any problems. Irrespective of the way we decide to configure the Starter, I think the commons.log bundle is ready for the initial slf4j 2.0 release. I don't have an abundance of time in the coming weeks, it would be great if someone could handle the release. Thanks, Robert
