While we're at it: we could also simplify roundtrip synchronization: with the
manual 'publish content to server' click you get content from eclipse to sling.
With a 're-import content from server' you could additionally trigger the
import action based on the current filter.xml. This would give you simple,
manual two-way synchronization. (and eventually we could have buttons in the
main toolbar for that ..)
Open question: do we always guarantee/mandate a filter.xml, what if there isn't
one? then don't show 're-import from server'?
