Hi Olli, IMHO the nicest way to release something is to start from 1.0.0 (x.2 is Oracle's style). But the least work, given the circumstances, is option 3 since that's what has been set in JIRA previously. Let's see what other people think. I'm fine either way.
I haven't yet started to think about adaptTo(), but this utility bundle is used for Sightly's performance tests (see SLING-4493 [0]).
