I think I will let this one go. I'm attaching a patch with the actual code
conversion but to make it work, the testing will need to be updated (still
against the old launchpad-8 and doesn't support java8 because of the scala
dependencies). I did try for a while to get it updated but it is getting to
complicated and I'm not even sure we care about this anymore.
Is this maybe something to be retired?
