Sorry for the delay, there is still a discussion going on in users@infr a . Basically the infra team has some concerns regarding how well they can service the very large number of git repositories. I have not yet clearly understood all the reasons beind this, but one that was stated is that they would like to avoid any situation where they would need to perform manual tasks over a large number of repos. One example that was given was Travis integration, which must be done manually by infra for each repo. I'm going to try and understand what can be done automatically and what needs to be done manually, and try very hard to avoid asking infra to do any manual work for our 200+ repos. BTW, not sure what the access rule for users@infra are, but you should be able to access https://lists.apache.org/[email protected] .org and then log in with your ASF credentials.
