------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-03-17 23:55 ------- Spam advertised email addresses and spam advertised web sites are fairly different in character, usage, etc., so what applies to one may not always apply as well to the other. One concern is that SBL has quite a few false positives when checking the name servers of domain names. That could cause things like email signatires that include a usually legitimate address like [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be detected as spam. (Such an address unmunged would actually trigger on SBL.) Whether such addresses appear more or less often than web sites mentioning www.gov.ru-MUNGED is an interesting and relevant question. I'm not opposed to completeness of URI handling, but the consequences of expanding the current arrangement to include mail URIs do need to be checked. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
