Why not store the dates (and other WHOIS data) in DNS, similar to SURBL and SPF?
Ideally the registry should do this, but nothing prevents other domains from
mirroring the data. For instance:

_ctime._whois.somedomain.com.dnswhois.net A unixtime

The value would be the 32-bit Unix time of the domain's first appearance. To get
more range, one could shift the value a few (10-12) bits. Or use a TXT record
with an ISO 8601 timestamp.
