The regex for INVALID_DATE only allows for a single space between time-of-day
and zone, but RFC2822 (section 3.3. Date and Time Specification) specifies FWS
-- ([*WSP CRLF] 1*WSP) / ; Folding white space.
presumably this can be fixed simply by replacing the " " in the perl regex with
"\s+"
