I am running Qmail 1.03 on a Fedora Core 4 server. I also am running ClamAv 0.88
and Spamassassin 3.1.5. Everything was running perfectly for almost a year, and
then one day no one could send email through the mail server. All smtp
connections were maxed out. Now, I cannot have spamassassin running at all. As
soon as I turn it on, qmail-smtpd maxes out. I have the default set at 100
connections. within 3 seconds of turning spam back on, it is maxed, and the
mailqueue bogs down with a ton of messages. Am somewhat new to this software as
I enherited it from the previous admin. Cannot figure out if it is a bug or
something else in the configs.
