The question I would ask is: 

Is it the SA projects job to work around CPAN quirks or is it our job to make
sure it works from source code?

The current version = 'bogus' already was to work around a CPAN quirk as best I
can tell.

[email protected] closed the bug.  Not sure if he should have been
able to or not...
