Kevin A. McGrail <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from Kevin A. McGrail <[email protected]> 2011-09-13 19:20:33 UTC --- (In reply to comment #1) > Maybe "Please don't use this, no updates since 2008" would be better. Agreed. The PMC agreed to this Release schedule and we need to update http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/ReleaseGoals and likely add verbiage or a link on downloads.cgi. The following schedules for Release and Support are now Official. They were purposefully kept short & simple to have goals the project could live up to without overstretching our manpower. I feel the project will benefit from these scheduled releases and this schedule is realistic and allows for volunteers to avoid major holidays and summertime. Release Schedule: The Apache SpamAssassin project goal is to produce three major or minor release per year with release candidates proposed on or closely to January 30th, April 30th, & September 30th of each year. Release Support: A major release is supported for no less than 6 months after the release of the next major release. This means that as of July 27, 2010, all versions prior to 3.3.0 are considered unsupported and when 3.4.0 is released, 3.3.X will be supported for at least 6 more months.
