-rw-r--r-- 1 updatesd dns 22 Nov 21 08:51 3.4.0
bash-3.00# cat 3.4.0

0.4.3 TXT "1204403"
I might be confused, but why does 3.4.0 (the only version updated there)
actually have a TXT value? Isn't it supposed to be a CNAME for 3.3.2
since your change?

$ host -t TXT 0.4.3.updates.spamassassin.org
0.4.3.updates.spamassassin.org is an alias for 2.3.3.updates.spamassassin.org.

According to DNS, it is...
Here's what I believe is occurring:

1 - There are two systems

One that builds rules for trunk
One that builds rules for release(s)

2 - The trunk build doesn't include rule scores

3 - I changed the DNS in trunk to be a CNAME to 3.3.2

4 - The system STILL updates the include files for DNS for trunk but the zone doesn't actually pull them in.

5 - So right now, it appears the trunk system is working but the release system isn't.

6 - About the time it broke, we had DNS and Cron changes.

NOTE: The Cron changes appear to be causing a weird procmail error.

My expectation is that there is a problem with an SVN call or a permission issue updating the DNS.  The commands take HOURS to run and currently I don't know where the output goes.  I also don't seem to have any real email commands like mutt... Likely will need to compile it.

Best plan at the moment is to:

1 - look at updatesd cron spool and try and add some logging

2 - su to updatesd, log the terminal and run the commands and review output.  Hopefully something jumps out like an error...

Regards,
KAM
