--- Comment #8 from HM <[email protected]> --- (In reply to comment #3) > My suggestion: change a default for dns_available from 'test' to 'yes'. > > Of all possible local.cf settings I always recommend people to at least > set 'lock_method flock' and 'dns_available yes'. > > SpamAssassin is pretty weak and hardly useful nowadays without DNS tests. > When offline operation is needed, the option --local is still available > to turn off all network tests in one go. > > Opinions? even if it is correct what you say, changing the option value does not solve the problem without internet access you can not browse the internet right, ok, but you can not disable the browser for that reason, instead the browser gives you an understandable error message same here, nobody can guess that _OTHER_ plugins stop working, google how many PRs are out there about DKIM/SPF returning T_DKIM_INVALID and even developers are answering with wild guessings including trying to tell that the problem is in the domain's DKIM key ... IMO it is some more work necessary to give sense to this, I see two valid options, the difficult one is reworking the plugins so that they work without caring for the dns test, second perhaps more easy is, changing/adding a more comprehensive error value after checking dns test, for example to T_DKIM_DNS_NA Hans -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
