I agree that some users shouldn't play with fire. I recommend you look at a remote tool such as splashtop, lmi or zoom pro to support your users and get a sample. Without it and frankly your changing story, you wasted a lot of people's time on wild goose chases. There is still zero.idea if this change even works with a real world issue.
Bug reporting is important. It let's us fix issues we might otherwise miss. Please do better next time.
