The few project committers we have are used to SVN, and the little
development that is going on wouldn't benefit anything from git itself as
is.

Are you implying that moving from bugzilla to github and accepting pull
requests would magically get more traction?

In any case, any release would have no relevance on when and where to move
the repo.
