Marcel,
Even though Bill closed this issue as not a SpamAssassin bug, as the person who
has been uploading our releases to CPAN, I would like to know how MetaCPAN gets
the version information so I can note in our process documentation what the
correct way would be to get consistent versions in there. As far as I can
recall, I am doing nothing except following our build processes and uploading
the results to CPAN, and the version number comes out of that process
automatically.
Even though this issue is closed, feel free to respond with that information or
any suggestions that can help, I'm happy to do what I can to make the MetaCPAN
information consistent.
