Yibing Shi commented on SQOOP-1094:
-----------------------------------

I cannot access the Jenkins build output
[{{AvroImportTest}}|https://builds.apache.org/job/Sqoop-ant-jdk-1.6-hadoop200/ws/build/test/TEST-com.cloudera.sqoop.TestAvroImport.txt]
 you pasted above. Instead, the system asks me to login. I browsed the Jenkins
build page also but could find the output of {{AvroImportTest}}

I am using Java 7 and 8 on my box also. Will try Java 6 later.

> Current [merge
> tool|https://github.com/apache/sqoop/blob/trunk/src/java/org/apache/sqoop/mapreduce/MergeJob.java#L117]
> do not seem to be supporting Avro format even though that the
> [documentation|http://sqoop.apache.org/docs/1.4.3/SqoopUserGuide.html#_literal_sqoop_merge_literal]
>  is stating that.
