Hi all, I fully agree that development of new features does has stopped for some components, but as Enrico correctly points out this might also because the current set of features is sufficient.

If someone wants to make major changes to commons ... open a branch; implement the change; port some components to give examples on how the new structure should look like and agree on it within the community; upon acceptance give the developers time to adapt their components to the new structure; merge the new things back into trunk. If after some time there is no movements for some components I am happy to start this discussion again.
