This is really uncommon. In the trunk version there is currently a bug
that the bundle is not created, but I can not remember cases where the
creation of the "{index_name}.solrindex.zip" does fail. Have you used
the 0.12.0 or 1.0.0 version of the generic indexing tool? I would
recommend users to use the 0.12.0 version (build from the release-0.12
branch [4]).

If you create the file by hand make sure that the name of the root
folder in the ZIP archive is {index-name}. Otherwise the installation
will not work.

The bundle for the Site
("org.apache.stanbol.data.site.{site-name}-1.0.0.jar") was created
successfully? Without installing this your ReferencedSite would also
not get initialized.

Typical installation times are 5sec + 1sec per 50MByte size of the
{index_name}.solrindex.zip

You should check the log files ({launcher-dir}/stanbol/logs/error.log)
during the installation of the Index.
