Hi We, at Crisp Analytics, have been using Apache Storm in production for around 4 years now. We have built a real-time system which is fed by industrial sensor data from around the globe.
Our use case and usage of Apache Storm both evolved a lot in this period from a system of ingestion to real-time predictions and alarm system. We read a continuous stream of industrial meter readings and ingest it into our system and also send it for further real-time transformation. Storm helps us in transforming the streaming data, calculate predictions on the fly, store the various stages of transformed data and feed the data to further systems. It has been a very great journey and we are continuously innovating to use Storm to its full potential.
