Regarding the fine tuning, I'd be glad to help, but I'm afraid my time availability is very limited this time of the year. I'll let you know when I find time to work on this.
The updates will probably need to be in small incremental steps so that we don't move away from the logo we voted for (e.g., I'd start by making it symmetric).
