I'm unfamiliar with TurquiseSVN. The command-line SVN works just fantastic. If TurquiseSVN is similar to WinCVS, I'd have to imagine there is some way to specify a URL to retrieve from. If you're unable to figure out how to do that, I can't help you. You might hit the TurquiseSVN site though and see if they have a "How To ..." for new SVNers.

The command-line SVN interface is so similar to CVS it's insane ... piece of cake to check things out, update, ... whatever you want to do. It doesn't come with much eye-candy though ...

Good Luck,

Eddie

I did something wrong and managed to fix the problem.

Here is what I have done so far. I created directory called
struts/trunk/ and downloaded all the source files and added them to
the local SVNRepository.

On the http://www.apache.org/dev/version-control.html page, the
command for anonymous checkout is "svn checkout
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/spamassassin/trunk somefile"

Where do I execute this command? Can I do it through the TortoiseSVN
or I have to download a SSH Client like PUTTY to check out the file? I
would like to contribute to struts source.

Any help is appreaciated.

Thank you.

Hello,

I just finished installing and setting up TortoiseSVN on my local machine.

I tried to import struts dev files into my local SVNRepository by
entering the following URL -
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/struts/core/trunk/

However, I am getting 403 forbidden message from http://svn.apache.org

This is my first time using SVN and any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
