Did you actually check it out or just get a copy of the latest? There is a world of difference. :) > I will agree that the 1.3 is vastly in flux, but that is likely because > it is undergoing a massive development effort right now. And I most certainly am not complaining about that. It's just that it makes it tough to get anything in from "outside". > I know you are more of a fan of the 1.2 branches but I'm very much > looking forward to 1.3 with commons chain. :) I can see why you would get that impression :) It's actually not the case though... I mearly would prefer to be working on code that isn't in flux as much as 1.3 is to avoid the very difficulty I'm referring to. I suppose I also have an interest in the 1.2 branch because I know in my environment we aren't going to move to 1.3 any time soon so I'd prefer to not see it completely abandoned as far as new features go. At the same time I acknowledge the valid points made by people for not doing this. That all being said, I've become more and more sold on what is being done in 1.3 as time has gone by. I may not agree with every decision, but overall it is looking very good. I personally am looking forward to the first official release so I can do some things with it, like first and foremost updating my StrutsWS project to it. But I don't want to be playing with it just yet, which means working against the 1.2 branch, which is something of a dead-end. > Al > > -----Original Message----- > From: Frank W.
