Whoa! This is cool! There are definitely some oddities that need
cleaning up, but this is an awesome start. I have some stylistic
opinions, too, but I'll hold off on those for the moment.

There's nothing happening on [EMAIL PROTECTED], but there's a recently created
site-dev list. There hasn't been a lot of action there yet, though.

I'm thinking that, if this is general enough to work for any project
that uses the site2 format, it might also be a great candidate for a
Maven plugin. But perhaps we can talk about that a bit later. ;-)
