I wouldn't be concerned about that. After all, how is a product ever going to get to be 1.0 unless people like us use it? I would be concerned that PDF Box seems like a one man show, and Ben's been too busy to address forum posts or bug fixes. Of course, the solution there is to ask if he needs a hand ...
