Not solely. Also, there are problems with with collection handling (no matter which type of objects found in collection) causing no options being rendered as selected in multiple mode. Another issue is about mixing String and non String types for option items and result item. For the pure non-string type problem, there is a good chance of getting freemarker errors for quite common usecases of the simple select tag. > We can't patch 2.0.6 in this way, but I think a 2.0.7 was always a > foregone conclusion. I see your point with the need to bring this into a new release to be clean. But I'm not sure if we should label 2.0.6 GA with clear conscience while knowing that approximately 10-20% of all usages of a select tag by early adopters will fail either with errors or with unusable results (since preselected values are not shown), if they don't use the toString() workaround. The tag itself seems to be broken for quite a long time now, it is quite astonishing the problems were not reported earlier. But if we go GA now without fixing the full issue, we can expect to receive lots of reports on that issue quite soon :) After all, if we plan to push out a 2.0.7 within one or two weeks after doing 2.0.6 GA, the problem might not be that big. But if it takes longer, I would still vote for not labeling 2.0.6 for GA. - Rene > > On 2/21/07, Rene Gielen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> Am Di, 20.02.2007, 16:17, schrieb Nate Drake: >> > [X] Beta >> > >> > >> > Due to WW-1747. >> > >> >> Finally, WW-1747 and the related issues should be fixed now.
