1. website format I suggest use xml format, we can select docbook website like NetBSD[1], or custom xml format like httpd[2].
So we can separation of content and format, maintain a unified style easily. In addition, this can help us localize the website. This maybe a long term goal. But the following 2 ideas maybe can be applied immediately. 2. content negotiation I suggest use AddLanguage directive for content negotiation[3], where the server returns one from several documents based on the client's language preference. AddLanguage de .de AddLanguage en .en AddLanguage fr .fr AddLanguage ja .ja AddLanguage zh .zh 3. translation tags I suggest add the following lines to the translated pages, display (or not) at top or bottom. For example: <!-- Originally [faq.html, r904366]<br> --> [1] http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/htdocs/docs/ [2] http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/httpd/httpd/branches/2.2.x/docs/manual/ [3] http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/content-negotiation.html
