Fine. Either way would work for me. But who is responsible for cleaning up the temporary files? The caller of svn_client_patch() or a pool cleanup handler installed by svn_client_patch() at the result_pool provided by the caller?
In that case, the caller would be responsible for deleting those temp files. Only the caller knows how long it needs those files. It might even be required to leave those temp files around after the process finishes, depending on what the caller uses them for.
