Well, I for one would be amazed if that opinion did not hurt anyone. And
I'd also be amazed if Steven Wu has not been scared off from posting a
mock-up. Perhaps that was the intention.
It seems only fair to send a signal to a person making an offer like
this that there is considerable inertia in the community and that a
proposal has little chance of passing, but this thread has seemed way
more confrontational than needed, and more confrontational than is
usually the case on this list.
That's my two cents on the subject ...
