Yes! There is always interest in anything that helps the project, be it documentation or anything else. IIRC I think some info was missing from the previous set of steps you posted? You might want to look at the existing documentation in INSTALL and around the site, as it will probably be better to improve on what's already written rather than starting a completely separate document.
