I think it's a well-written, well-thought-out Code of Conduct. It covers things that are already part of our practices, such as public communication (unless discussing something sensitive), not posting private communications publicly without permission, etc. As for the rest, if I had to sum it up in only a few words: be professional and treat others as you'd like to be treated. That's how we should strive to be, right? Linking to it is easy. I'd probably: * add a link called "Code of Conduct" on the site sidebar under "About the ASF" and, * in HACKING, as a new last sentence in the subsection "Participating in the community" [1]. It could be as simple as "Please see the Code of Conduct" as a link. That would follow nicely from what's already there. Adopting it: I would assume that the ASF's Code of Conduct applies to us by default, unless we adopt our own separate Code of Conduct. Nevertheless, there should probably be an official act of the PMC with a [VOTE]. I hope to see additional feedback in this thread...
