If not: How feasible would it be to be able to apply numbering styles
to character styles?
Sorry to say that there's no way to get what you need today. The plan
for the next release is to introduce fields that continue the
numbering within the text flow.
That sounds ideal. Roughly how much work would this entail, if I was to
implement it, possibly with your helpful tutelage from on far ? I
vaguely remember that between us we once implemented a new field type
fairly quickly...? I presume the tricky part is getting the numbering
styles to check fields as well as paragraphs for numbering?
ps: My tan from Australia is rapidly fading under Ireland's incessant
onslaught of rain and cloud!!!
