Hi Andreas: sorry for the vagueness, I mean the gray margins actually, when I change the right gray margin, with setting the value in the object of SvxLRSpaceItem,(using the SetRight function), and I use SfxItemSet::Put method, but when I open the page dialogue box, the value of the gray right margin still remained the same, How can I make sure the change is known by the dialogue box? (the dialogue box gets the address of the object of SvxLRSpaceItem and read the value, am I right?)

The grey margin of the page or the (white) margin between the page border and the text area? What do you want to achieve? If it's a centered document view (just a guess), then you should have a look at issue 1761, fixed in CWS os92.
