I have just posted this issue: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=78205
For convenience I have copied the description of the problem below. I am raising it here as well because I see this as being a serious issue that, in my opinion, needs urgent redress. The issue is one of interoperability between Microsoft Word and OOo Writer. Bookmarks and cross referencing is, in my opinion, fundamental to using a word processor. Currently, I believe, it is not possible to have a correctly formatted document inter-operating between Word and Writer that contains bookmarks and cross references. Cheers, Ian Laurenson ========== Copy of problem description ============= A .Doc file (even if that file was created in OOo and has never been opened by Microsoft Word), if a paragraph has a bookmark then on re saving in Word format, that paragraph has all of the style’s attributes directly applied to the paragraph. This is an issue because: * When the style is changed the paragraph’s format does not change; * A cross reference to a bookmark in Word has the directly applied character attributes. This means that it is not possible to have a correctly formatted document, inter-operating between Word and OOo that contains bookmarks and cross references. I have not found a work around. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
