That's my concern too .. half the folks will forget to join the 2nd list
and then we'll lose important information.

list I do not mind subscribing all devs..
But I think there can be many individuals on the dev list who are
not particularly interested in the commits (e.g. people who use
synapse but likes to know the dev discussions etc.. ) and I think
there are quite a few such people on the dev list of Synapse..
