Regarding the place to store such information I would prefer a very
central place like the transports section on the project page on which
Andreas is currently working.

Samples are very helpful and documentation on samples is valuable, but
honestly I think currently too much information is "hidden" in setup and
sample guides and should be more prominent and easier to locate.

+1 to removing domain specific transports like FIX and AMQP from the
standard distribution along with their corresponding dependencies.
However as Eric pointed out we need to properly document how to add them
later. We already have some information in the samples setup guide. But
I think we can add a bit more information to it and most importantly we
should publish it in a way so that an interested user can easily locate
it.

Thanks,
Hiranya

Hi,

I am completely OK with keeping this, but not QuickFixJ and other
related dependencies, because FIX is a domain specific transport which
wont be required for many users

I share the same opinion as Ruwan. I remember we already had some
discussions about this:

http://www.nabble.com/Bundling-of-transports-with-the-distribution---wha
t-should-be-the-default--td21432781.html

Nevertheless it should be made easy for a user to add a transport which
is not shipped by default. Proper documentation about adding should be a
prerequisite for removing it.
