Hi all,

I see votes mainly for important main topics. My experience shows that in
most cases we got to a consensus at the end.

Basically [1] matches in most cases quite well. In some trivial cases it
might even be simpler to create an experimental repo in GH directly and let
it depend on the SNAPSHOT (or released) artifact itself (I expect that the
core part will not have that much experimental aspects, compared to the
possible extensions built upon it...).

For me it is also restricting history-rewrites is a good thing ;)
