Hi Werner,

yes, we should already start with the marketing of Tamaya, but...

Currently I am afraid if you ask two of use you will be three opinions what are the goals of Tamaya and how does it look in code. That the code is changing in this early stage of an project is obvious. Therefore I would be carefull with providing code examples. Furthermore we should settle and write down a common description of Tamaya.

JaxEnter already contacted us before Christmas. So we would write a introduction for Tamaya for JaxEnter. I regularly write for heise Developer and would be happy to write something on Tamaya for heise Developer.

WDYT?

Bye,

Oliver

Hi,

It may still be a little early and things are changing, but even smaller
Apache projects like DeviceMap wouldn't have graduated from the incubator
by now, if a few (very few there;-) people hadn't spread the word about the
project on a regular basis.

I took a chance to propose a short 10 min. Lightning Talk to Geecon TDD:
http://2015.tdd.geecon.org/
No response yet, but if accepted it would be the last Friday of this month,
so I gotta hear from them rather soon. I don't know, if Anatole talked
about the projects and ideas that lead to Tamya at a larger Geecon last
year, or a different topic?

I heard, Anatole proposed (and it was also accepted) Tamaya to JavaLand
2015 in Germany.
A possible chance for some in Central Europe to meet F2F for hacking and
further discussion not just via Hangouts;-)

Almost the same week is CodeMotion Roma. They still have a CFP and I plan
to submit at least JSR 363/UOMo (where, if not in Italy;-D) and maybe
DeviceMap. It overlaps with JavaLand, if accepted to CodeMotion I would
likely not go to JavaLand this year (and pay for even just a day ticket)
otherwise if there's a Hackergarten session with many of us planning to
attend, I may still go there for a day.

I am AdBoard member for DWX '15, the CFP ends on Wednesday (in 2 days!)
http://www.developer-week.de/Call-for-international-Papers
Anatole already proposed a talk, I also did and will help to review some,
especially those with Java focus. If you had anything related to another
Apache project, Java or Java EE, please feel free to propose by Wednesday.
With a Hackergarten Nuremberg also planned there it could provide another
great chance, even closer to at least the "Ösis" in this team and also
others from nearby European countries.

I have a tight schedule that week, but some may also consider DevoXX UK
2015 (the same week as DWX but just the second half)

Both it and DevoXX France (for those who speak French, the native language
gets a strong preference there http://cfp.devoxx.fr/ ;-) still have open
CFP till February, DevoXX France is in April already.

Those are some of the major ones in the first half of 2015, especially for
the EMEA region.

And of course for those of you in America or working for a company that is
happy to send you there, ApacheCon US takes place in April, too in Austin,
TX: http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/apachecon-north-America
CFP still open.

Cheers,
