The staging repository should be exactly the same as the eventual released artifacts. You can see in the POM file for the microprofile artifact that it depends on a SNAPSHOT API: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachetamaya-1036/org/apache/tamaya/ext/tamaya-microprofile/0.4-incubating/tamaya-microprofile-0.4-incubating.pom
If released as-is, the microprofile artifact will not work properly.
