definitely 4.1.1
i don't think it's anything to do with caching, infact i'm surprised it's not
an issue on ie 5. basically the call to hide the dialog is made in the
document.onload event, so it makes sense that it isn't hidden before that.
jesse, have you been unable to reproduce this? if so, have you tried 4.1.1
instead of 4.1.2? maybe dojo have fixed it since 4.1.1?
