Howard M. Lewis Ship commented on TAPESTRY-2426:
------------------------------------------------
I'm morally (:-) opposed to this; I think it is no different than identifying
the id of a component on a foreign page: that's part of the pages
implementation and subject to change. Why not a normal action link followed by
a redirect and use the page activation context?
> Allow linking to other pages with custom event types

> It could be powerful (actually I need it now) to be able to link to another
> page with an arbitrary event type and context. Right now the event system is
> limited to within a page or to page activition links. Alter eventlink to
> support it by adding a 'page' parameter. The default would the current page
> (in which case it would work as it does now).
