I agree with all of your points. Personally I would love to see Confluence.
Jekyll may be a good system, but its another tool to learn and it does
not lower the barrier for people to help contributing.
I think we need something easy to use and easy to maintain. And maybe
most important something that is easy to learn for new users as well.
