The latest one. :) Issues would be solved for 5.3-alpha, for example.
My suggestion is to have a single suffix (alpha), at most two (alpha and
beta).
I suppose the majority of people
will go for the latest which should be 5.3-RC1, so tell me where this
is all different from having 5.3.1, 5.3.2, 5.3.4, 5.3.5 and so on?
With the suffixes, people know when a release is final or not, and today
it seem at least some don't. Check this thread:
